Position Title: Baseball Coach Location: Northern VA + MD + DC Metro Area
Employment Type: Seasonal-Fall, Spring and/or Summer (Fall 2026-Summer 2027)
Reports To: General Manager/Manager
📌 Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Baseball Coach to support our summer middle school + HS age showcase teams . The Baseball Coach will assist with player development, practice planning, game preparation, in-game strategy, and team leadership. This role is vital in promoting strong fundamentals, competitive performance, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture.
âš¾ Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and leading practices, workouts, and pre-game preparation.
- Provide instruction in baseball fundamentals, including hitting, fielding, throwing, base running, and situational play.
- Support game-day coaching responsibilities, including lineup preparation, substitutions, and in-game strategy.
- Promote player development, accountability, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Communicate effectively with players, coaching staff, front office staff, and team leadership.
- Assist with field setup, equipment organization, and maintaining a safe practice and game environment.
- Represent the organization professionally at practices, games, community events, and team activities.
🎓 Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience.Â
- Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, player development, and game strategy.
- Ability to teach, motivate, and mentor athletes in a positive and professional manner.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, practices, games, and tournaments.
