Camp Taconic is looking for Nursing Assistants for Summer 2026. This is a great opportunity for students studying nursing, to gain real world experience as part of a professional health care team. At Taconic, our Health Center staff oversees the health and safety of over 550 campers and 300 staff members. Four Nursing Assistants work on-site with a team of ten registered nurses, a pediatrician, and our health center administrator.
We provide room and board, a competitive salary ($500/week), travel reimbursement, and internship credit. In fact, last summer we provided over 40 internships to college students across the country.
Responsibilities:
- 8 hours/day in the health center or around camp
- Triage, first-aid
- Keeping accurate medical records
- Communicating with staff & administration
Qualifications:
- At least one completed year of nursing school
- Available to live at Camp (late June to mid-August)
- Desire to gain hands on experience in a professional health care settin
