Position Overview:  Taymar Sales U.’s Ticket Sales & Operations Manager will work alongside the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day functions of the Athletics ticketing unit. This position will work to drive ticket revenue, while achieving personal sales metrics and overseeing all daily reporting and deposit of ticket revenue, priority seating, customer service, system event builds, inventory management revenue reconciliations and backend reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Generate reports and track overall ticketing revenue pace towards goals.
  • Day to day collaboration of ticket sales and operations strategy and execution for all ticketed athletic events, including Football and Men's Basketball in the newly renovated Timmons Arena. 
  • Execute a comprehensive year round ticket sales strategy to grow revenue for Furman Athletics.
  • Help manage the ticket office interns and student workers. 
  • Exceed all Ticket Sales revenue goals determined by senior management.
  • Communicate with Furman  fan base through outbound calls, emails and face to face meetings
  • Initiate and execute ticket sales results for Group Sales, New Season Ticket Sales and Renewal campaigns. 
  • Work as a self starter to innovate new initiatives to drive revenue for the athletics department.
  • Represent athletics program and University with the highest integrity.
  • Build superior relationships with all fans, donors and athletic department constituents.
  • Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment to produce accurate results.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all internal & external units of the department and University to ensure a positive event experience for customers.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ Years experience in a Sports Ticket Sales role
  • Heavily preferred experience working with  TicketMaster Archtics.
  • Proven track record and success in group ticket sales
  • Thorough knowledge of ticket sales processes and procedures.
  • Experience in intercollegiate athletics or professional ticket sales with successful results.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a degree in Sports Management or a related field.
  • Effective communication (oral, written and interpersonal) skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
  • Ability to work various hours including nights and weekends.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry
