Position Overview: Reporting to the General Manager, Revenue Generation, Taymar’s Director of Sponsorship Sales at Austin Peay State University will be actively engaged in corporate sponsorship sales for the APSU athletics department. The successful candidate will be responsible for renewal and management of existing accounts, as well as new business development. Other duties are activation & fulfillment and consistent relationship building within the APSU eco-system.

Responsibilities: 
 
Operate as a revenue generation professional, as outlined by the General Manager: 
·         Execute all aspects of the typical Sponsorship sales process: prospecting, building/presenting sales presentations, creating/negotiating contracts, upselling/renewing current partners, sponsor year-end recaps, and servicing of all corporate partner agreements, etc.
·         Assist with the implementation of strategies related to all revenue generation efforts within the Taymar scope of business.
·         Actively collaborate and support the on-site team, while also actively selling successful corporate partnership packages and agreements.
·         Prospect and network in the community to build relationships that drive successful partnerships.
·         Maintain an understanding of the university and athletics platforms as it relates to ticket sales and annual giving.
·         Actively assist on-site Taymar personnel with cultivation, service, and coordination of all functions, including activation and fulfillment.
·         Work in-person at campus facilities daily, as well as scheduling and attending in-person meetings in the community. 
·         Must have a collaborative mindset and willingness to work evenings and weekends when athletic functions take place.

Qualifications: 
·         Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Sports Management, or relatable Sales/Marketing experience preferred. 
·         3+ years sponsorship sales, business development, donor development and/or ticket sales experience preferred.
·         Strong grasp of the collegiate athletics revenue generation landscape, including traditional and non-traditional inventory and assets.
·         Comfort with external and in-person business development activities and ability to build relationships quickly. 
·         Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team to solve problems effectively and independently. 
·         Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry.
