Overview
The Manager – Partnership and Event Activation will focus on the development and execution of programming for Milwaukee Brewers partners and assist Brewers Meetings & Events with the planning and execution of large-scale private and public-facing events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to experiential activation, digital experiences, short- and long-term strategic planning, creative ideation, and development and oversight of events tied to corporate partnerships. This position involves working cross functionally with internal business units to develop compelling sponsorship programs to drive business and marketing objectives as well as producing successful events.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and contribute to the creation of tailored initiatives and strategic solutions designed for a diverse portfolio of Brewers corporate partners
- Ensure comprehensive delivery of sponsorship commitments, spanning in-game promotions, off-day activations, signage, hospitality, and premium partner experiences
- Work closely with Director – Special Events on the planning and execution of partnership events and external large-scale events
- Collaborate with Partnership Activation team members to plan logistics and execution of all contractual corporate partner events including event set-up, staffing needs, management of external vendor requests, and completing event checklists for internal communications
- Assist with planning of corporate partner hospitality opportunities (e.g., Partner Summit, Partner Family Fun Night on-field event, etc.), including guest list and invitation management, event logistics, and event budget oversight
- Proactively innovate new event concepts aligned with fan engagement trends and partnership objectives, leveraging industry benchmarking and data-driven insights. Present ideas to Director – Special Events and/or Partnership Activation team members.
- Compile and distribute post-event measurement metrics to be utilized in partner recaps
- Serve as the department liaison with Scoreboard and Game Entertainment team to strategize best practices for partnership integration into scoreboard features and other game entertainment elements
- Strategically manage all Corporate Partnership contractual pre-game, in-game, and post-game scoreboard elements to ensure execution, with an emphasis on enhancing the fan experience and maximizing engagement throughout the game presentation
- Work cross-functionally with key departments to create impactful, multi-faceted events and activations for corporate partners
- Support the implementation of social and digital activation strategies across partner campaigns
- Assist in business development efforts by contributing to research, asset evaluation, creative strategy and proposal creation
- Conduct daily monitoring and reporting of MBBC partner exposure to support ROI conversations and media valuations
- Create high-quality, detailed year-end recaps summarizing partnership performance and brand visibility across all media channels, while providing thoughtful analysis for future partnership opportunities and growth
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, scheduling regular touch points outside of daily standard partnership communications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous direct management of partnership asset implementation and client relationships
- Previous direct involvement in new business or partnership renewal ideation discussions and/or brainstorming sessions
- Previous direct involvement working with a game day production team with understanding of how partner integrations enhance the game experience for fans
- Previous involvement managing end-to-end event execution for numerous large-scale events as the primary contact, with experience in partner-facing roles
