Volleyball Academy is seeking a part-time Area Manager to help launch and grow youth volleyball programs in Montgomery County South.

This role is ideal for former athletes, coaches, teachers, or sports enthusiasts who enjoy working with kids and want to help expand volleyball opportunities in their local community.

Area Managers begin by coaching programs themselves, building relationships with families and partner locations such as schools and recreation centers. As programs grow, Area Managers may recruit and support additional coaches while continuing to oversee the success of programs within their territory.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining coaching, program operations, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Lead youth volleyball sessions (typically 1 hour)
 • Deliver a fun and engaging experience for young athletes
 • Ensure sessions follow Volleyball Academy curriculum and standards
 • Manage equipment and setup for sessions

Program Operations

• Communicate with parents regarding schedules and program information
 • Coordinate logistics with school or facility staff
 • Track attendance and general program feedback
 • Ensure a smooth and organized program experience

Territory Development

• Help identify potential program locations such as schools or recreation centers
 • Assist Volleyball Academy leadership in expanding programs in the territory
 • Identify potential future coaches within the local community

Coach Support (as programs grow)

• Provide guidance and support to coaches
 • Help ensure consistent program quality across locations

Compensation

This position includes three components:

Coaching Pay

Hourly pay for sessions you personally coach.

Program Management Pay

Area Managers typically spend approximately 1 hour per week managing each active program section, including communication with parents and coordination with partner locations.

A program section refers to a scheduled class for a specific group of athletes. For example, if a location hosts separate elementary and middle school sessions back-to-back, each session is considered its own section.

Territory Performance Bonus

Area Managers may be eligible for quarterly bonuses based on the overall growth and profitability of programs within their territory.

As programs grow, Area Managers may increase the number of sessions they lead and expand their territory responsibility, creating additional income opportunities.

Schedule

Part-time.

Most programs run after school on weekday afternoons or early evenings, with sessions typically lasting about one hour.

Some programs may also run on weekends, depending on facility availability.

Seasonal opportunities such as summer camps (typically daytime hours) may also be available.
