Responsibilities:
- The social media coordinator’s primary role will be planning, managing, and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to promote club events and news. The role will include scheduling, posting, and interacting online in a professional yet engaging manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for dedicated team’s social media channels.
- This role will work diligently to identify social media goals, maintain a strong adherence to brand guidelines, and create a fun, professional and family-friendly online culture.
- Concept, capture, and edit social-first content including photos, short-form video and training/tournament/game highlights.
- Assist in real-time coverage of matches, events, tournaments and community initiatives.
- Collaborate with hired photographers and videographers to tailor content for dedicated platforms.
- Assist with the ideation and creation of graphics for team events including games, recaps, training and tournaments. These may include motion graphics, digital advertisements or videos.
- Work with management in setting social media and digital marketing goals and communicating progress to management weekly.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and grow audience engagement across platforms and contribute ideas in team brainstorming sessions to evolve content and processes.
- Partner with internal departments to support campaigns, initiatives, and storytelling needs.
- Assist in managing content calendars and ensuring timely delivery of assets.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Will be required to work some weekends, nights and holidays.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned by team management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
- Solid knowledge of social media principles, concepts, strategies, and best practices.
- Proficient and experienced with adobe creative suite, graphic design and basic video editing.
- Ability to set manageable goals and the persistence to follow them through.
- Willingness to follow directions, learn, adapt in stressful situations, and maintain composure in the face of adversity.
- Must be willing to accept the challenge and dedication required to grow the club and brand.
Skill Sets:
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- Proficient in Facebook, X, Instagram,TikTok and working knowledge of Meta Business Suite.
- Working knowledge of social media management and marketing.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and work within brand guidelines for the betterment of the club.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and timeliness.
