Job Overview
Sting is looking for a Mascot Performer to create a fun, vibrant and engaging atmosphere for our tournaments, training and special events! Schedule will be based around Sting Soccer Organization tournaments and match play, which run throughout the year, but are more prominent in September – November and March – July.
Job Responsibilities
- Engage with members and players while in costume, display enthusiasm and high energy.
- Preserve the identity of the mascot without deviating from established character including body language/mannerisms, attitude, and player interactions (no speaking while in costume!)
- Fulfill entertainment and marketing agreements with partners and members.
- Represent Sting at a wide range of community events, training, tournaments, signing days and more.
- Responsible for entertaining members and being involved in various activities and events throughout the year.
- Consistently execute care and maintenance to ensure costume is always in operational, presentation-ready, condition.
- Will be trained and cross-utilized to support other activities as required
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience as a mascot, dancer or as an actor/actress preferred.
- Requires ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Comfortable interacting with all levels within organization as well as outside contacts.
- Cooperation, responsiveness, dependability, and proper attitude in dealing with others including co-workers, members and players.
