MADE Hoops is a grassroots youth basketball organization built to serve athletes, families, and communities. Through tournaments, events, media, and storytelling, we provide platforms for young players to compete, grow, and be seen — on and off the court.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Finance will lead MADE Hoops’ financial operations with a focus on sustainability, transparency, and responsible growth. This role is ideal for a finance leader who values mission-driven work and understands how to balance growth with stewardship in a grassroots environment.
You will oversee financial planning, reporting, controls, and compliance, while partnering with leadership to ensure the organization can continue to serve athletes and communities for years to come.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Leadership & Planning
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Support leadership with clear financial insights for decision-making.
- Ensure resources are allocated responsibly across events and programs.
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate, timely financial records across all activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow & Risk Management
- Manage cash flow to support seasonal and year-round operations.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Support responsible growth and expansion planning.
Systems, Controls & Governance
- Establish internal controls and best practices appropriate for a growing organization.
- Work with external accountants, auditors, and advisors.
- Support organizational transparency and accountability.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner closely with CEO, Operations, Events, and Leadership teams.
- Build financial literacy across the organization through clear communication.
- Help shape financial processes that support people on the ground.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA designation and/or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of finance or accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
- Experience managing finances for a growing organization (nonprofit, grassroots, or small-to-mid-size business preferred).
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting and analytics.
- Solid understanding of cash flow management and internal controls.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
