As we expand our NCAA Live Period events, we are looking for a detail-oriented, basketball-minded individual to ensure our programs and coaches are compliant and ready to compete on the national stage.

Role Overview:
The NCAA Certification Intern, is a critical piece of our event operations team. This role focuses on the "behind-the-scenes" mechanics that allow elite grassroots programs to play in front of college coaches. You will act as a primary point of contact for AAU program directors, guiding them through the mandatory NCAA Basketball Certification System (BBCS) and USA Basketball (USAB) requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Oversight:Ensure all participating program directors and coaches possess a valid USAB Gold License and active NCAA BBCS accounts.
  • Program Outreach: Execute initial outreach to AAU coaches to confirm their programs are properly "opted-in" to MADE Hoops events within the BBCS.
  • Registration Expert: Master the step-by-step registration process for both players and coaches to serve as the go-to resource for troubleshooting.
  • Consultative Support: Act as a "helping hand" for coaches, providing clear instructions and patience as they navigate NCAA platforms.
  • Post-Event Support: Assist the MADE Hoops leadership team with mandatory post-event submission requirements to the NCAA to ensure event integrity.

Requirements:
  • Current Student: A college student eager to break into the grassroots basketball and sports management space.
  • Experience: Previous experience working within college athletics (Operations, Coaching, or Compliance) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge Base: A loose understanding of NCAA Live Period rules and the youth basketball landscape.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical registration steps to non-technical users.
  • Location: While the role is remote-friendly, preference will be given to candidates living near our Live Period hubs: Philadelphia, Baltimore, Memphis, Anaheim, or Las Vegas.

Why MADE Hoops?
This is a high-visibility opportunity to build relationships with top-tier AAU programs and gain a deep understanding of the regulatory side of sports management. You will be at the epicenter of the grassroots basketball world during the most important months of the recruiting calendar.
