About MADE Hoops
MADE Hoops is the grassroots leader in cutting edge youth basketball events and experiences. We feature the most competitive middle school leagues in the country, along with unmatched high school and middle school camps and tournaments. Our winning combination? Elite competition, high level coaching and training, unparalleled media coverage and professionally run events. If you’re looking for the recipe for basketball success tomorrow, then you need to attend a MADE Hoops event today!

We are looking for a high-energy, Local Sponsorship Intern, to bridge the gap between our events and the local communities we visit.

Role Overview:
This is a dual-focus role involving Community Outreach and Financial Tracking.  Your goal is to secure hospitality partnerships (free or deeply discounted meals) for our event staff by pitching the value of the MADE Hoops brand to local businesses. You will own the process from the initial cold call to the final ROI report.

Responsibilities:
  • Market Research: Identify and vet local restaurants and businesses within a 10-mile radius of our tournament venues.
  • Aggressive Outreach: Master the art of the "cold call." You will be the voice of MADE Hoops, reaching out to business owners to pitch partnership opportunities.
  • Community Alignment: Identify and prioritize businesses that have a proven track record of community involvement and local sports support.
  • Fulfillment & Tracking: Once a partnership is secured, you will be responsible for tracking all deliverables (social media shoutouts, signage, etc.) that MADE Hoops owes the partner.
  • Financial Reporting: Maintain a detailed log of the project’s financial impact, including total savings generated, expenses, and overall project profitability.

Requirements:
  • Education: Current College Student majoring in Marketing, Sport Management or a related field.
  • Communication: Exceptional "people skills" with the confidence to navigate cold calls and professional negotiations over the phone.
  • Drive: A "head down, work hard" mentality. You aren't afraid of hearing "no" and are motivated by closing the next deal.
  • Passion: A genuine interest in grassroots basketball and a desire to better the communities where we host our events.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail for tracking deliverables and financial data.

What You’ll Gain:
This isn't just a "coffee-run" internship. You will gain tangible experience in:
  • Sales & Negotiations: Real-world experience in the sponsorship sales cycle.
  • Account Management: Learning how to manage and fulfill partner contracts.
  • Financial Analytics: The ability to show future employers exactly how much money you saved and managed for a national sports brand.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
