About MADE Hoops:
MADE Hoops is the premier grassroots basketball events organization in North America. Founded in 2014, our mission has always been Maximizing Athletes’ Development and Exposure (MADE). We host 100+ boys and girls basketball events annually, including competitive camps for all ages, middle school and high school tournaments, and the top independent high school circuit in the country. We're proud to have countless McDonald's All-Americans, NCAA athletes, and NBA stars among our alumni.

Job Overview
MADE Hoops is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded Business Strategy Intern to work directly with the Senior Vice President of Strategy.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience on the commercial side of a leading sports organization, including strategic planning, research, and company-building initiatives. 

The intern will be exposed to executive-level decision-making and operations across several departments and key business initiatives, including brand partnerships, recruiting, written content, social media, digital marketing, merchandise sales/e-commerce, and technology/development.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic planning and expansion goals.
* Provide support in the development of brand partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
* Assist with technology and development projects as needed.
* Support the creation and management of content for social media and digital marketing campaigns, specifically to enhance the company’s profile with brand partners and customers.
* Provide administrative support to the SVP of Strategy.
* Complete ad hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in sports management, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
* Strong interest in the sports industry, particularly youth basketball.
* Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when participating in executive-level meetings.
* Strong grasp of AI tools and how to leverage them to drive business results

  • The Big 3 - Generate Revenue, Save Time, Reduce Errors
    • Utilizing AI research and coding tools to build helpful web apps that can help generate revenue, save employee time, and/or reduce human error.
    • Examining current company workflows to find opportunities where we can make impact on "The Big 3" above.
  • Corporate & Strategic Comms
    • LinkedIn content plan for MADE Hoops executives and the company as a whole - 1-2x posts per week about MADE Hoops major initiatives, or some business musings
    • Helping craft launch/announcement plans, formulating announcement email content, and organizing inbound requests stemming from major announcements
  • M&A / Strategic Partnerships
    • Researching potential acquisition / investment opportunities
      • Entire companies
      • New sport expansions
      • Content channels/brands
      • Technology
    • Identifying strategic partnership opportunities
      • High School and College NIL athlete targets (content, merch, appearances)
      • Other sports: sharing data and audience insights
      • Seeding creators with upfront $$ to generate shared upside on backend
  • Data Cleanup & Organization
    • Periodic research and data cleanup projects to help us make our data more accessible, scalable, and portable
    • Utilizing AI tools, automation tools, and APIs (writing up scope, no direct integration) to help us build a cleaner and more powerful data stack
