OVERVIEW:  CCL EVENT STAFF [multiple positions available]

The CCL Event Staff's primary function is to oversee the event, ensuring a pleasant environment for our players, coaches, and families.  We are looking for candidates who are in the Richmond, Virginia area or are capable of traveling to Richmond, Virginia [no reimbursements] on their own.

This position will remain open until November 19th, 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive and enjoyable environment with a positive attitude for all guests attending an event. 
  • Responsibilities may include setting up fields/tables/tents, distributing sponsorship deliveries, operating Hudl cameras (we record all games for events), addressing guest questions, responding to incidents on venue property, and directing guests to seating locations, among other tasks. 
  • Ensure all guests are following venue, act, or promoter-specific rules and regulations.
  • Assist patrons with special needs or wheelchair access.
  • Direct guests in various situations, including emergencies.
  • Monitor and report any potential unsafe situations to the direct supervisor. 
  • Hand out flyers or other promotional items.
  • Find opportunities to improve the guest experience.
  • Perform all duties until the event(s) are completed, regardless of hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Employees must be at least 18 years old.  
  • High School diploma or GED (or any equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Prior customer service experience is preferred.  
  • Access to reliable transportation. 
  • Must be able to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays; dependent on event schedule. 
  • This is considered a demanding event staff position, requiring staff to stand and walk for many hours (these events can run from, for example, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.).
  • **Ability to work independently and as part of a team!
  • Can communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing—multi-lingual, especially Spanish, a plus.
  • **Must be comfortable multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
