Among the most prestigious, well-respected camps in the country, we offer quality instruction designed to allow children to participate in activities they love, while also allowing them to explore new and exciting opportunities. We are seeking qualified Tennis Coaches and Counselors for the summer of 2026. Your primary goal will be to create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters skill development, teamwork, and a love for the sport of tennis.

Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and Instruction:
  • Develop and implement engaging tennis drills and activities for campers.
  • Provide hands-on instruction to enhance fundamental skills such as serving, volleys, groundstrokes, and footwork.
  • Incorporate fundamental tennis techniques, rules, and strategies into lesson activities.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Skill Development:
  • Assess the skill levels of campers and provide individualized instruction to help them improve their tennis abilities.
  • Focus on developing basic and advanced tennis skills, including proper grip, footwork, strokes, and match strategies.
  • Tailor instruction to various skill levels.
Gameplay and Strategy:
  • Organize and oversee friendly tennis games and competitions.
  • Teach campers the rules of the game and instill an understanding of tennis strategy.
Safety and Equipment Management:
  • Ensure a safe and organized tennis environment.
  • Monitor the use and condition of tennis equipment, reporting any issues and ensuring proper storage.
Teamwork and Sportsmanship:
  • Promote teamwork and sportsmanship among campers through collaborative activities, drills, and friendly competitions.
  • Encourage a positive and supportive atmosphere where campers respect each other and their coaches.
Adaptability:
  • Be flexible and adaptable to accommodate campers with varying skill levels and learning styles.
  • Adjust lesson plans as needed based on camper feedback and progress.
Qualifications:
  • Previous coaching experience, especially in tennis, preferred.
  • Knowledge of tennis fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with campers of different ages and skill levels.
  • Enthusiasm for working with children and fostering their development.
Duration: We are looking for a two-month commitment from June 16th - August 17th. We offer room and board for the duration of employment at camp.
