JOB DESCRIPTION
As an Apex Events Intern, you will assist the team with the daily operational tasks to plan, prepare, and execute our summer events and programs. This is a part-time position reporting to our office in West Chester, PA during the week and on-site at
events on the weekends.
Timeline: May 20th - July 17th, 2026
Hours: 250+ hours
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assist Apex Staff with inventory and management of all equipment and apparel, equipment repair & replacement, packing/unpacking event vehicles, etc.
● Assist with Event Set Up/Breakdown
● Assist Event Directors with various tasks throughout the events including staff check in, running the central clock, preparing/delivering staff meals, disbursing equipment as needed, customer service, troubleshooting issues, etc.
Interns will work at specific events for 3 or 4 day periods as listed below. The times listed in this job description are subject to change slightly based on the schedule and/or weather conditions. Interns must be able to commit to all listed events.

● SUMMER LAUNCH - MAY 30 @ CEDAR LANE (TRAVEL)
● SUMMER OPENER - JUNE 6-7 @ UNITED SPORTS TRAINING CENTER
● BEACH BASH - JUNE 13-14 @ NCINO SPORTS PARK (TRAVEL)
● COASTAL CLASSIC - JUNE 13-14 @ NORTH WORCHESTER PARK (TRAVEL)
● YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS - JUNE 20-21 @ GERMANTOWN ACADEMY
● ELITE CHAMPIONSHIPS - JUNE 20-21 @ PROVING GROUNDS
● INDY INVITE - JUNE 20-21 @ THE PLEX (TRAVEL)
● THE GRIND - JULY 10-12 @ GREATER WEST CHESTER AREA
● APEX SHOWCASE SUMMIT (APEX 60 AND YOUTH GAMES) - JULY 13-16 @
USTC
QUALIFICATIONS:
● Possess a roll up the sleeves attitude and ability to perform loading, unloading and setup tasks at events
● Strong self-initiative and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
● Active listening skills, calm demeanor, strong ability to follow-up, passion to see project through to completion
● Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to achieve event goals.
● Capability to quickly identify and address issues that may arise during event planning
● Consistent punctuality and professional presentation
● Ownership mentality for position-related responsibilities and company as a whole
● Willing and able to lift heavy equipment (60 lbs. or more)
● Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule during the week and on weekends. Some travel is required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CLEARANCES:
● Minimum of 2 Years of Varsity Lacrosse Experience/Collegiate Lacrosse Experience
● USA Lacrosse Member
● Federal Criminal History Record Information Check
● PA State Police Criminal Record Checks
● PA Child Abuse History Clearances
