Apex Lacrosse Events is one of the fastest-growing operators of elite boys and girls lacrosse showcases and tournaments nationwide. Our experienced team delivers high-level competition, top-tier customer service, and a professional event experience for clubs, college coaches, and families. We are expanding our team tournament portfolio across key regions and are seeking a motivated, detail-driven professional who can contribute to both revenue growth and event execution.

Position Overview

The Sales & Operations Manager will play a central role in driving the growth of Apex’s boys team tournament business. This position blends business development, client relationship management, and event operations - ideal for someone who thrives in a competitive, fast-moving sports environment.

You will be responsible for outbound sales to club programs, managing team pipelines, supporting scheduling and event planning, and helping deliver a professional on-site experience. This role reports directly to the Director of Boys Events and works cross-functionally with the Operations, Marketing, and Showcase teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development (Primary Focus – Tournament Growth)
  • Own a portfolio of Apex boys team tournaments and drive year-over-year registration growth.
  • Build and manage relationships with club directors nationwide through calls, email outreach, and in-person networking.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline, track weekly progress, and hit registration targets for each event.
  • Identify new markets, divisions, and opportunities for expansion of the Apex tournament footprint.

Event Operations
  • Support tournament scheduling, division structure, team communications, and pre-event planning.
  • Assist with vendor coordination, staff assignments, and event logistics.
  • Serve as an on-site field lead during tournaments—helping manage check-in, field operations, officials, customer service, partner activations, and awards.
  • Ensure Apex’s professional standards are upheld across all fields throughout the weekend.

Relationship Management
  • Maintain strong relationships with club programs, returning customers, officials, facilities, and partner organizations.
  • Provide excellent service and follow-up before and after events.
  • Represent Apex as a trusted resource for parents, coaches, and players.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–5 years of experience in sales, sports operations, business development, or account management, ideally in youth sports or events.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust quickly with coaches and program directors.
  • Competitive, self-driven, and comfortable with weekly outreach and measurable sales goals.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple events, timelines, and client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel on weekends for tournaments (15–20 event days per year).
  • Familiarity with lacrosse, club sports, or tournament operations is a strong plus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with event setup and breakdown, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working long hours outdoors in various weather conditions during events.
