Summer Graphic Design Internship

The mission of Apex Lacrosse Events is to create and execute industry-leading lacrosse events at exceptional venues, delivering a first-class experience for players, teams, and families across the country.
Apex is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to assist with the visual branding and digital content surrounding our boys lacrosse tournaments and showcases. This role will focus on creating dynamic graphics, managing event media, and helping bring Apex events to life through strong visual storytelling.
Internship Details
Timeline: May 29 – July 25, 2026
Hours: 250+ hours
Location: Fair Haven, NJ with travel to select Apex events
Duties and Responsibilities
Event & Showcase Graphics
- Design promotional graphics for Apex tournaments and showcases
- Create event title graphics, schedule graphics, and promotional materials
- Develop consistent visual templates used across multiple Apex events
Player & Team Content
- Create MVP, Champion, and All-Star graphics
- Design player spotlight graphics using event photography
- Develop championship graphics and tournament winner content
Photo & Video Integration
- Organize and transition photos and video content from freelance photographers and videographers
- Select strong visual assets to incorporate into social media graphics and highlight posts
- Assist with creating visual recap graphics and highlight content following events
Creative Development
- Help design new creative concepts for graphics, including championship visuals and award graphics
- Build reusable design templates for recurring event content
- Maintain brand consistency across Apex’s digital platforms
Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or comparable design software
- Ability to create graphics optimized for Instagram, TikTok, and digital marketing
- Strong understanding of sports graphics and social media trends
- Organized and able to manage multiple design projects
- Interest in sports marketing, event branding, or lacrosse
Preferred but not required:
- Former lacrosse player or familiarity with the sport
- Experience creating sports or athletic content
- Basic video editing experience

Event Commitment
Interns will work at specific Apex events for 3–4 day periods as listed in the internship schedule. Event times may vary based on scheduling or weather conditions.
Interns must be able to commit to all scheduled events during the internship period.
Qualifications
- Experience with graphic design, photography, videography, and social media management
- Proficiency with design and editing software (Adobe Creative Suite preferred)
- Ability to create graphics optimized for Instagram and digital marketing
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced event environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Consistent punctuality and professional presentation
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends
Required Education, Experience & Equipment
- Minimum 2 years of experience in graphic design, photography, videography, or social media content creation
- Personal computer capable of editing media files
