Tamarack Day Camp is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Health Center for the 2026 summer season. This is a leadership healthcare role in a fun, child-focused environment where your clinical expertise directly impacts hundreds of campers and staff.
No nights. No weekends. Just purposeful work.
Position Overview
As Camp RN, you will oversee all health-related operations at camp, ensuring the safety and well-being of campers and staff. You will operate with clinical autonomy while collaborating closely with camp leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Health Center
- Administer and document medications
- Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses
- Implement allergy and emergency action plans
- Maintain medical records and incident documentation
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
- CPR/AED & First Aid certified
- Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, urgent care, or emergency care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Comfortable making independent decisions
- Must commit to all 39 days of camp (June 29 – August 21)
