Make a Splash This Summer at Tamarack Day Camp!
Tamarack Day Camp is seeking responsible, energetic, and safety-focused Lifeguards to join our aquatics team for the summer. Lifeguards play a critical role in ensuring a safe, fun, and positive pool experience for our campers and staff.

Position Overview
Lifeguards are responsible for supervising campers during all pool activities, enforcing safety rules, responding to emergencies, and helping create a welcoming and enjoyable environment at the pool.
Responsibilities
- Actively monitor campers during swim periods and free swim
- Enforce all pool rules and safety procedures consistently
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies
- Perform water rescues and administer first aid/CPR when necessary
- Assist with pool setup, breakdown, and daily safety checks
- Communicate clearly with campers, counselors, and supervisors
- Help create a fun, positive, and inclusive pool atmosphere
Qualifications
- Must be a strong swimmer and comfortable working in a busy pool environment
- Current lifeguard certification required (American Red Cross or equivalent)
- Tamarack will provide lifeguard certification if you are hired
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Responsible, alert, and able to make quick decisions
- Enjoy working with children ages 3–15
- Must be available for all 39 days of camp
Camp Details
- Camp runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM
- June 29 – August 21
- No weekends
- Located in Randolph, New Jersey
- Transportation to camp may be available
- Additional paid opportunities may be offered
