Our lifeguards are essential members of the Tamarack team. You’ll help ensure a safe, fun, and well-supervised aquatic environment while building responsibility, leadership, and lifesaving skills that last a lifetime.
Required Commitment
To be employed as a Lifeguard at Tamarack Day Camp, you must be available for all 39 days of camp:
June 29th – August 21st
Monday through Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
No weekends
If you are unable to commit to the entire camp season, this position will not be the right fit.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain constant supervision of swimmers during all pool activities
- Enforce pool rules and safety procedures at all times
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies
- Assist with swim instruction and water-based activities as needed
- Work collaboratively with the pool director and camp leadership
- Serve as a positive role model to campers and staff
Certification Provided
- Lifeguard certification will be provided by Tamarack Day Camp upon being hired
- Training includes CPR, First Aid, and all required lifeguarding skills
- Candidates MUST be willing and able to successfully complete certification prior to the start of camp

- High school juniors or seniors, college students, or educators
- Strong swimming ability and comfort in an aquatic environment
