ROLE SUMMARY
This role is for you if you are passionate about people, believe in the power of play, and problem solving is your super power. This position centers around our part-time employees who deliver on our player experience standards. Our business is out on the field, 7 days a week because the fun never stops. Be prepared to spend time out at leagues interacting with our players and our staff as you will own the full lifecycle of our part-time staff. You will work collaboratively with local and national teams to ensure our part-time staff provide the very best on-field experience for our players. 

Volo is looking for someone who can:
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of staffing our leagues and events, including direct management of a part-time staff team of approximately 150-200
  • Oversee part-time resources supporting administrative duties of the role
  • Support recruitment effort for part-time hosts and referees.
  • Onboard and schedule excellent part-time talent to run our leagues and events
  • Schedule staffing events - including part time staff interviews, pre-season training, mid-season check-ins, end of season celebrations, and staff appreciation events 
  • Compile staff feedback for review by manager
  • Grow the staff & volunteer community and culture through special perks and events
  • Schedule league & event staff - including hosts and refs for adult programs
  • Own the local payroll process 
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of staff operations – league equipment and shirt logistics, coordinate shifts for new employees, follow up to new employees after their first shift, daily staff communication
  • Assure quality control and strength of adult programs through site visits and serve as a site lead for programs whenever necessary
  • Manage staffing program in alignment with local budgetary constraints

Your expected skill set & experience: 
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of staffing experience, preferably part-time non-exempt workforce
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as business needs require
  • Can marshal resources effectively and comfortably 
  • Can navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active sporting environment
