Position Overview: As Vice President of Finance & Strategy, you will hold a pivotal executive leadership role overseeing end-to-end financial stewardship and strategic planning across Volo’s operations. In collaboration with the C-suite, you’ll shape financial decisions, help drive long-term growth, and ensure financial resilience while operating in a rapidly changing start-up like environment. Given the Company’s goals to scale operations through organic geographic expansion and M&A, this role will be heavily involved in strategic decision making, corporate development, and capital markets / fundraising execution. We are focused on finding high-performing candidates who can thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth organization, with a willingness to drive thought leadership in building for scale, while showcasing high willingness to roll up their sleeves in day to day execution. The ideal candidate will possess a natural ability to build relationships across the organization in order to improve processes, deliver operational insights to deliver cost optimization, streamline operations, and ensure accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting and analysis. 


Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Lead annual and multi-year financial planning processes across all business units, including quarterly forecasting, annual budget setting, and financial modeling aligned with overall enterprise strategy
  • Provide financial analysis, scenario modeling, and strategic insights to guide executive decision-making
  • Develop and maintain multi-year P&L, cash flow, and capital structure planning to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to evaluate investment cases, optimize pricing strategies, and drive profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver board-level materials, investor briefings, and strategic presentations grounded in data-driven insights 
  • Ensure financial controls, analytics governance, and reporting integrity

Business Intelligence & Analytics 
  • Build and oversee a high-performing analytics and business intelligence function.
  • Establish dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools to monitor performance across customer acquisition, engagement, monetization, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data-driven decision-making across operations, marketing, product, and hospitality teams.
  • Lead development and management of a robust business intelligence and analytics team, delivering performance dashboards, insights, and KPIs to inform strategy.

Corporate Development, Investor Relations, & Strategic Growth Support
  • Lead evaluation, due diligence, and execution of acquisition opportunities, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
  • Partner with legal and external advisors to negotiate deal structures, integration frameworks, and post-acquisition performance metrics.
  • Develop back-office integration playbooks and ensure successful assimilation of acquired businesses into the Volo ecosystem.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging markets to inform corporate development strategy.
  • Partner with the CFO to support investor communications, capital raising, and potential new strategic partnerships


Leadership & Operations
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Finance & Strategy team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team on company performance and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Support Board of Directors reporting, presentations, and communications.
  • Partner with senior leaders on operational improvements, cost optimization, and scalability initiatives.

Qualifications: 
MUST-HAVES
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, strategy, or corporate development, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record overseeing corporate finance functions, including FP&A, corporate development, corporate treasury, and performance management
  • Hands-on experience with mergers & acquisitions, including deal evaluation, structuring, execution, and integration
  • Advanced Excel skills and deep understanding of data analytics 
  • Experience using or familiarity with BI tools, financial systems, and associated coding languages (e.g. SQL, Python)
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and growth-oriented environment
  • A strong work ethic with high integrity and ethical standards
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy


“WOW” US WITH:
  • Experience developing AI tools to help automate financial processes or systems
  • Expertise working in Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Financial Planning software, and financial systems integration
  • Background in high-growth or startup environments, with proven ability to scale and mature financial teams, functions, and processes
  • Transaction experience across M&A and capital markets / fundraising
  • Operational exposure to high-growth environments and consumer-based industries such as sports, media, or entertainment
