ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Manager of Finance & Strategy who can thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth organization. The ideal candidate will possess a natural ability to build relationships across the organization in order to improve processes, streamline operations and ensure accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting and analysis. This opportunity has strong upside and the ability to expand along with the company’s growth.
Volo is looking for someone who can:
- Act as the lead finance business partner to department heads across sports operations, marketing, programming, and shared services functions, providing strategic insights and financial guidance
- Identify and implement optimization opportunities across critical business areas such as sales, marketing, programming, pricing, product, technology, among others
- Own ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to leadership and board of directors, including continuous adaptation and development new KPIs and analysis across markets, product lines, venues, and sales channels
- Deliver impactful variance analysis, forecasts, and reviews of financial and operating performance to help guide executive decision-making
- Lead the execution of quarterly forecasts and the annual budget process in close collaboration with leadership and stakeholders, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet forecasting
- Partner with the CFO to support investor communications, capital raising, and potential new strategic partnerships
- Support evaluation of new business opportunities through financial analysis, developing frameworks for measuring ROI across both organic and inorganic growth opportunities
- Champion the evolution of FP&A systems, tools, and processes to support Volo’s rapid scale, partnering with Volo’s Controller, its Business Analytics, and its Treasury / Accounting teams to enable increased automation and process efficiency
- Manage ad-hoc analysis, scenario planning, and special projects with high visibility and impact
Your expected skill set & experience:
MUST-HAVES
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Major in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance roles
- Demonstrated success in financial modeling, data analysis, and executive-level reporting
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with BI tools and data querying (e.g., SQL)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment
- A strong work ethic with high integrity and ethical standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Financial Planning software, and financial systems integration
- Background in startups, high-growth
- Transaction experience across M&A and capital markets / fundraising
