ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a high-performing Manager of HR Operations who can thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth organization. The ideal candidate will possess a natural ability to build relationships across the organization in order to improve processes, streamline operations and ensure consistent employee experience across the organization. The HR Operations Manager is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining core HR processes, systems, and compliance initiatives. This role ensures HR infrastructure runs efficiently and supports the needs of the key internal stakeholders as well as maintaining compliance with governing laws and regulations. This opportunity has strong upside and the ability to expand along with the company’s growth. and supports a consistent employee experience across the organization.


Volo is looking for someone who can:
  • Build and optimize policies and procedures from the ground up and implement systems to effectively maintain and enforce.
  • Own HRIS software, Rippling, and serve as the resident expert and main point of contact
    • Manage HRIS system administration, including user access, security settings, and data integrity
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to HR staff and end-users.
    • Develop training programs and materials to ensure effective HRIS system use.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, promoting adoption and engagement
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, onboarding/offboarding, and engage in all aspects of employee lifecycle
  • Manage of payroll operations in coordination with finance and operations teams and
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; recommend best practices.
  • Create and maintain HR process documentation, SOPs, and employee handbook.
  • Generate and analyze HR data reports to support decision-making (e.g., turnover, headcount, demographics).
  • Support audits and investigations, ensuring documentation and records meet regulatory standards.
  • Lead HR operational projects such as system implementations, vendor transitions, or policy rollouts.

Your expected skill set & experience: 
MUST-HAVES
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in operations
  • Experience working with large, national, non-exempt part-time workforce
  • Strong understanding of HRIS systems (e.g., Rippling, ADP, BambooHR, UKG)
  • Working knowledge of labor laws and compliance regulations
  • Unwavering and obsessive attention to detail and process discipline
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and completely comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving environment
  • A strong work ethic with high integrity and ethical standards
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills 
  • Strong proficiency in excel/google sheets and comfortable working with G-Suite
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
