Job Description

The Portres Sports Club location Commissioner is responsible for maintaining Volo standards at all Volo Pickleball events at the venue. See responsibilities listed below.

Venue Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Must be available 2-3 weekday evenings for at least 2-3 hours 
  • Support in game scheduling and player communication in our Volo Tech platform
  • Assist in inventory and equipment tracking
  • Oversee adult pickleball leagues and pickup games
  • Prepare the venue space for incoming leagues: Equipment, field setup/breakdown, shirts, check in stations
  • Maintain equipment, noting damages, and reporting to the market’s equipment lead
  • Set up & take down fields, gather and store equipment
  • Check in players using the host app
  • Supervise on field hosts & refs as needed
  • Step in to ref games when needed
  • Resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency
  • Deescalate any situations that might arise
  • Support trainings for the part-time hosts as well as all internal referees
  • Recruit, mentor, and ensure quality staff and product
  • Promote sponsor bar, events and upcoming leagues via on-field selling
  • Help distribute marketing materials and assist with any brand activations
  • Execute fundraising activities for kids foundation with the support of league hosts
  • Encourage and maintain a quality experience throughout the league

Qualifications

Must-Haves
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Work well in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds
  • Possess a positive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate clearly
  • Must be available to work evenings
  • Proficient customer service skills
  • High School Diploma /GED Equivalency
  • 21 years of age or older
