Our programs remove barriers to athletic participation such as gender, skill, and financial resources while bringing different communities together.
Founded and headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland in 2015, Volo Kids is a community based organization working to use the power of play to build communities of active, resilient, and confident kids. Job Description
SUMMARY
When you accept a position with Volo Kids, you’ll be joining a passionate, driven group of innovators within the nonprofit and youth sports industries. We are looking for natural leaders with an all-hands-on-deck, not afraid to roll up their sleeves, kind of attitude. Everyone operates as a customer facing member of the team.

Schedule: M-F 9am-5pm, ability to work some nights and weekends


RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising and Development Projects


  • In collaboration with National Development Director, support efforts to source grant funding through research, application, and tracking 
  • Lead local grant-based program execution through oversight of local market staff
  • Collect program data & provide analysis to support future funding opportunities
  • Create grant spend and execution reports
  • Enhance local & national fundraising efforts through current strategy and analysis, improvement, and execution
  • Create and maintain processes to track and reconcile all fundraising revenue 
  • Collaborate with Foundation leadership to maintain up-to-date donor data for the organization’s CRM platform
  • Support all organizational fundraising initiatives as needed 

Finance and Operations Projects


  • Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting processes, and put structure in place to boost efficiency and growth
  • Support the creation of and maintain data for annual local and national impact reports
  • Provide monthly data tracking and analysis, and create processes to improve collection efficiency and data accuracy
  • Maintain organizational operating budget and streamline correction and reporting processes 
  • Lead efforts to track and execute restricted spending strategy 
  • Oversee local spending behavior and steer staff budgeting strategy
  • Support organizational financial operations as needed, including AR/AP, financial documentation, and budget analysis


Qualifications

MUST-HAVES

  • BA or BS degree; minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Ability to work nights and weekends (as needed)
  • Ability to travel
  • Can marshal resources effectively and comfortably navigate a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented project manager – you have experience managing multiple projects across function areas and feel comfortable wearing many hats
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dynamic personality interested in working in, and contributing to, a fun and active work environment - inside the office and out in the field!
