Position Summary: The Swimming Operations Manager supports the daily operations of IMG Academy’s Swimming program. This role is responsible for coordinating logistics, managing budget (operations and travel), managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth execution of training, travel, and events. This position serves as a key liaison between coaches, student-athletes, families, and internal departments to support an unrivaled experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily program operations including scheduling, budget, travel logistics, and event coordination
- Manage communication with student-athletes, families, coaches, and staff to ensure timely updates and alignment
- Coordinate and track compliance documentation, rosters, and program records
- Assist with recruiting processes, including communication with prospective student-athletes and families
- Support budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management for all swimming equipment and supplies
- Facilitate onboarding of new athletes and families into the swimming program
- Collaborate with academic, residential, and athletic staff to support student-athlete success
- Ensure program activities are conducted in alignment with IMG Academy standards, policies, and values
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years of experience in coaching, athletics operations, team administration, and/or event management
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling/athletics management systems
- Experience working with student-athletes, coaches, and families preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs
- Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
- Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed
