The Student Athletic Trainer will provide Athletic Training Services to student athletes under the direction of their designated preceptor(s) in accordance with state athletic training practices.
Position Responsibilities:
- Observe and support athletic training coverage for IMG Academy designated sport program, summer camps, external groups and other sports as needed
- Co-Manage the prevention, assessment, immediate care, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries of student athletes
- Support documentation policies athletic medical records through the Athlete Management System (AMS) Evaluate athletes' readiness and willingness to play
- Learn communication skills to convey the status of injured athletes to coaches, parents, APD staff (Strength & Conditioning, Sport Science, Nutrition, Mental Conditioning, Leadership) and other stakeholders when warranted
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists and other appropriate disciplines to return athletes safely to participation
- Collaborate with other APD divisions in an interdisciplinary pod with staff members who work in the same sport(s)
- Familiarize and implement IMG performance testing protocols
- Act as a role model through words, actions and a positive attitude
- Supervise and maintain day-to-day upkeep of facilities
- Follow all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and guidelines
- Assist with organizational tasks as necessary
- Promote a diverse and inclusive environment
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Preceptors or Medical Director
- Assist with athletic training covering multiple sports with athletes ranging from 13-19 years old.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Current Master’s student pursuing a Degree in Athletic Training in a CAATE Accredited program
- Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
- Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
- Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
