Position Summary:
IMG Academy seeks an experienced and elite-level Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach to lead the offensive unit within its postgraduate football program. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and calling an advanced, college-style offensive system while serving as the primary developer of postgraduate quarterbacks. The successful candidate will prepare athletes for successful transitions to NCAA programs by emphasizing player development, football IQ, leadership, and professional habits aligned with IMG Academy’s high-performance model.
Primary Responsibilities:
Offensive Leadership & Scheme:
- Design, install, and call a modern, adaptable offensive system aligned with current collegiate and professional trends
- Develop weekly and seasonal offensive game plans based on personnel, opponent analysis, and situational football
- Lead offensive staff meetings and collaborate with position coaches to ensure cohesive execution
- Oversee offensive install, practice scripting, situational periods, and game-day play calling
- Integrate analytics, self-scouting, and opponent breakdowns into decision-making
Quarterback Development:
- Serve as the primary quarterbacks coach for the postgraduate team
- Develop quarterbacks in mechanics, footwork, throwing efficiency, decision-making, and pre/post-snap processing
- Install and teach pass protections, coverage identification, route concepts, and progression-based reads
- Prepare quarterbacks for college-level systems, terminology, and schemes
- Provide consistent feedback through film evaluation and individualized development plans
Player Development & Culture:
- Support the holistic development of student-athletes: football, academics, leadership, and character
- Mentor quarterbacks and offensive leaders in accountability, resilience, and professionalism
- Reinforce IMG Academy standards for discipline, work ethic, and competitive excellence
- Collaborate with strength & conditioning, sports science, mental performance, and athletic training staff
Recruiting & College Placement Support:
- Assist with quarterback and offensive player exposure, evaluation, and college placement
- Develop highlight materials and evaluations for college coaches
- Communicate effectively with college recruiters regarding player readiness and projection
- Support campus visits, pro days, and evaluation events
Administrative & Program Support:
- Assist with roster evaluation, depth chart management, and personnel decisions
- Contribute to offseason planning, clinics, staff development, and academy initiatives
- Utilize video, data, and athlete management systems effectively
- Uphold all IMG Academy, state, and sport governing body policies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years coaching experience at the high school, postgraduate, collegiate, or professional level
- Proven quarterback development experience and offensive play-calling background
- Strong knowledge of offensive football systems, protections, coverages, and situational strategy
- Demonstrated ability to teach complex concepts clearly and efficiently
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Collegiate or professional offensive coordinator and/or quarterbacks coaching experience
- Track record of quarterbacks advancing to NCAA or professional opportunities
- Experience working in a high-performance, year-round training environment
- Proficiency with video and analytics platforms (e.g., Hudl, XOS, DV Sport)
