Position Summary:  Tomaintainthe campus on a day-to-day basis while assuming responsibility for the property’s maintenance. 

Position Responsibilities  

• Technician will work independently and with other plant personnel to collect and dump trash/recyclable materials. 

• Pressure washing surfaces. 

• Maintain all trash and recycle containers clean. 

• Maintain dumpsters area clean and organized. 

• Perform painting of exteriorand interiorstructures. 

• Perform minor landscape work (i.e.pulling weeds, etc.) 

• Complete misc.assignments as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Operations and Manager on Duty.  

• Perform preventative maintenance following specific company instructions 

• Move furniture, repair locks, minor plumbing and electrical repairsand general maintenance repairs. 

• Responsible for upkeep and change of air filters 

• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all students, guests, residents, contractors, vendorsand staff 

• Monitor and maintainall buildingsas assigned 

• Assure safety standards comply withall company, local, city, stateand federal guidelines 

• Assistin monitoringall work being performed by outside contractors and vendors 

• Responsible for 24-houremergency maintenance service as scheduled 

• Carry radio/cell phone as requiredfor on call maintenance 

• Alert the Maintenance Supervisorof any unusual occurrence and or damage  

• Adheresto all company policies, proceduresand business ethic codes 

• Other duties as assigned  

Knowledge, Skillsand Ability   

• Valid Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one 

• Ability to estimate, order and price materials for work assignments 

• Ability to calculate amounts of materials needed and to measure materials for installation 

• Ability to lift, move, stack, store and protect tools, equipmentand materials 

• Ability to utilizechemical materials properly and safely 

• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines regardingsafety 

• Ability to operateequipment including heavy equipment 

• Computer proficiency  

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

• Ability to lift, move, pushand pull equipment or boxes in excess of50lbs.  

• Ability to climb ladders and work at high elevations 

• Ability to work in dusty conditions 

• Ability to work in high noise environments 

• Ability to work with chemicals 

• Mustbe able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period. 

• Must be able to work in small spaces 

• Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc. 

• Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
