The Academy Grounds, Irrigation Technician will be responsible for maintaining the campus of property on a day-to-day basis while assuming responsibility for the property’s maintenance.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for irrigation inspection, repair and installation
- Maintains tools and equipment
- Other essential tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of Toro and/or Rain Bird irrigation equipment
- Self-Starter
- Progressive experience with employer focused on irrigation
- Ability to work outdoors 365 days a year
- Ability to perform routine maintenance repairs with limited supervision
Preferred Skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40-70 lbs.
- Must be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
- Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, stairs, etc.
- This role is considered essential and may be required to work during weather emergencies or business closures in order to meet operational requirements
