The Dishwasher is responsible for performing duties to ensure the kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils are in clean and orderly condition. Creating a positively memorable experience for patrons through exceptional quality and service.  

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Separate food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks to be washed in the dishwashing machine. Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.  Run glasses through dish machine twice. 

• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators and other equipment. 

• Separate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers. 

• Steam clean or hose out garbage cans and maintain cleanliness of the loading dock. 

• Ensure that all recycled items are disposed of correctly. 

• Properly maintain the dish machine to include cleaning, water changing and chemical usage. 

• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of other methods. 

• Assist by putting away all deliveries. 

• Assist in food prep and banquet plate up as needed. 

• Put away all clean dishes and utensils. Rotate and stock in designated areas. 

• Put away all clean utensils; put away & rotate stock in designated areas 

• Sweep and mop floor during shift as needed and at the completion of the shift. 

• Clean and help organize all storage areas. Clean all reach-in, Walk-in cooler, and Walk-in Freezers.  

• Greeting all guests and associates in a friendly manner. 

• Ensure work areas are clean, safe and organized. 

• Maintain high standard of personal hygiene in compliance with state, county and company policy. 

• Maintain confidentiality of guest and proprietary information, protecting company assets. 

• Handles guest challenges in a friendly and courteous manner 

• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform, slip resistant shoes and name tag when working. 

• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with IMG standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the golf club. 

• Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow employees and other departments within the golf club. 

• Have knowledge of and assist in emergency procedures as required. 

• Assist other departments when needed to ensure world class service to guests. 

• Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic code. 

• Attend meetings as required by management. 

• Perform any other duties as requested by management. 

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Previous kitchen steward/dishwasher experience in hotel or restaurant is preferred. 

• ServSafe/Food handler certification is required before working. 

• Flexible Schedule and long hours are sometimes required. 

• Ability to lift and move objects weighing 60 lbs. or more 

• Ability to stand for durations of shift. 

• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. 

• Must maintain composure and objectivity while in stressful, high-pressure situations. 

• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. 

• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests. 

• Must have a positive attitude and have a team mindset. 

• Ability to assist all departments when needed 

• Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
