The Camp Transportation Support Member, Summer 2026 will assist with on-campus and off-campus transportation operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and positive movement of students, campers, and guests throughout IMG Academy’s campus and to designated off-site locations. Provides exceptional service during peak periods, particularly during weekends for summer camp arrivals and departures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist tram drivers with loading and unloading passengers at designated stops across IMG Academy campus.
- Act as a chaperone for student-athletes and campers during off-campus trips, ensuring safety, organization, and proper supervision.
- Serve as an airport greeter at Tampa International Airport (TPA) or Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) to welcome arriving campers, assist with luggage, and coordinate transportation back to campus.
- Provide support during weekend arrivals and departures for summer camp participants, ensuring a smooth and efficient transportation process.
- Communicate effectively with transportation drivers, coordinators, and camp staff to maintain schedules and respond to changes as needed.
- Assist with passenger check-in, boarding procedures, and tracking of travel documents when required.
- Represent IMG Academy with professionalism and courtesy at all times, delivering a positive first impression for students, families, and visitors.
- Support other transportation or campus operations as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with youth, families, and staff.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Must be professional, flexible, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in customer service, transportation, or youth supervision preferred but not required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull luggage or equipment up to 50lbs.
- Work environment can include varying weather conditions during pickups and drop-offs.
- Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers.
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
