  • Perform routine AV system checks, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting across campus facilities.
  • Support AV setups and breakdowns for campus events, athletic competitions, and special programs.
  • Respond to AV service requests and resolve issues in a timely manner, escalating complex problems to the Manager when appropriate.
  • Assist with AV lifecycle projects including new installations, system upgrades, and end-of-life equipment replacement.

Physical Infrastructure & Cabling

  • Install and terminate structured cabling, including copper (Cat6/6A), fiber optic (single-mode and multi-mode), and coaxial cable, per TIA/EIA and BICSI standards.
  • Perform cable pulls, conduit work, rack builds, patch panel terminations, and cable management across IDF/MDF and campus facilities.
  • Support network drop installations, fiber splicing, and physical layer infrastructure builds for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Conduct cable testing and certification, documenting results and resolving failures prior to project closeout.
  • Maintain organized and properly labeled infrastructure across all campus IDFs, MDFs, and equipment rooms.

Security Camera & Access Infrastructure

  • Install, aim, and configure IP security cameras across campus facilities per approved coverage plans and department standards.
  • Support the Milestone VMS platform, including camera onboarding, basic configuration, and health checks.
  • Troubleshoot camera connectivity, image quality, and recording issues; escalate systemic or platform-level problems to the Manager.
  • Assist with security camera infrastructure projects, including new installs, replacements, and expansions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of camera assets, locations, and connectivity.

Digital Signage & IP Video Distribution

  • Install and maintain digital signage displays, media players, and related hardware across campus facilities and athletic venues.
  • Support IP video distribution systems, including hardware maintenance and basic configuration.
  • Assist with content management and scheduling on digital signage platforms as directed.
  • Troubleshoot display and video distribution issues, restoring service in a timely manner.

Documentation & Communication

  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including cable plant documentation, equipment locations, and as-built drawings.
  • Update asset registers, patch panel databases, and infrastructure records as work is completed.
  • Communicate project status, service request updates, and any issues or delays to the Manager promptly.
  • Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders (Facilities, Operations, Athletics) to coordinate access, scheduling, and project execution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in AV installation, structured cabling, or a related physical infrastructure discipline
