SUMMARY
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Marketing and Engagement Specialist to help grow our programming, elevate our brand, and support activation of our national network of training facilities through digital campaigns that connect with athletes, families, and coaches. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of youth sports—particularly baseball, softball, football, and sports event marketing—and brings hands-on experience in executing digital strategies across key channels. This role will be instrumental in supporting campaigns across paid media, web, SEO, and social, while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to bring our programming to life online.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Strategy & Execution
- Support the execution of digital marketing strategies that drive awareness, participation, and revenue across baseball, softball, football, and event-based programming
- Assist in the day-to-day management of paid media campaigns across Search, Social, Display, and emerging platforms, with a focus on execution and optimization
Content Development & Platform Management
- Translate program initiatives—including training, camps, clinics, showcases, and tournaments—into clear, engaging digital content and landing pages
- Help maintain and optimize EL1’s websites and program microsites to ensure accurate promotion and a seamless user experience
- Contribute to the development and scheduling of social media content that highlights athlete achievements, program success, and community involvement
SEO, Analytics & Optimization
- Assist with local listing management across platforms like Google and Meta to maintain accurate business profiles for all EL1 locations
- Track campaign performance across digital channels and support the development of performance reports with actionable insights
Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with brand, programming, customer service, email/CRM, and creative teams to ensure alignment and consistency across campaigns
- Support content capture efforts across baseball, softball, football, and event-based activations—including photography, video, and athlete storytelling
- Stay informed on emerging tools, platforms, and trends relevant to youth sports marketing and training operations
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and inclusive communication best practices
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Sports Marketing, or a related field; a suitable combination of education, experience, and training will be considered
- 2–4 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in youth sports, athletic training, or event marketing
- Working knowledge of the culture, cadence, and audience for baseball, softball, football, and youth athletic events
- Proven ability to support digital campaigns from concept through execution with measurable results
- Experience with CMS platforms such as Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, or Wix
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere
- Skilled in SEO, SEM, paid social advertising, and digital analytics tools
- DSLR photography and video content capture experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, with strong project management and cross-team collaboration abilities
- Passion for the athlete, the sport, and the culture of competition (preferred)
- Familiarity with youth sports program structures, seasonal training models, and event marketing (preferred)
- Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment (preferred)
- In-depth understanding of SEO strategies, both traditional and AI-enhanced (preferred)
