Product Manager, Benchmarking

Zoomph - Manager
United States · Remote
Broadcast Production · Production
$130,000 - $150,000 / year
Job Summary

The Product Manager, Benchmarking owns Zoomph's benchmarking solution, a large database of pre-processed data that gives customers instant access to comparative performance across hundreds to thousands of leagues, teams, and brands. The role combines hands-on product management with a social analytics background and a forward-leaning view of data access, shaping raw data into the right database structure and delivering it through MCP and APIs to customers and AI-driven applications. The benchmarking dataset is social-first today and will expand to broadcast and streaming, so the role works closely with data engineering on the ETL pipelines that ingest, normalize, and grow it. This is a strong fit for a product manager who wants to build a data product in a fast-paced sports and media analytics SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

Product Execution:
  • Own and maintain the product backlog and roadmap for Zoomph's benchmarking solution, writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and specs.
  • Drive features from concept through launch, partnering with engineering and design to deliver on schedule and to spec.
  • Define and track success metrics for shipped features and report on outcomes.
Benchmarking Data & Access:
  • Define the database structure and access layer for pre-processed benchmark data so customers get instant comparisons across leagues, teams, and brands.
  • Partner with engineering to expose benchmark data through MCP and APIs so it is accessible to customers and AI-driven applications.
  • Work with data engineering on the ETL pipelines that ingest, normalize, and grow the benchmarking dataset, starting social-first and expanding to broadcast and streaming.
  • Define and monitor data quality, coverage, and freshness targets, and prioritize improvements with engineering and data.
Customer & Market Input:
  • Gather and synthesize feedback from sales, customer success, leagues, teams, and brand partners to inform priorities.
  • Analyze product usage and benchmarking trends to identify opportunities and gaps.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate releases and keep internal teams informed on what is shipping and when.
  • Enable sales and customer success on new benchmarking capabilities through clear documentation.
Job Requirements
  • 3-5 years of product management experience, ideally in SaaS, analytics, or media technology.
  • Social analytics or social-first background, with a strong understanding of social data and metrics.
  • Experience building or managing data products, databases, or data-access layers such as APIs, and ideally MCP.
  • Comfort working with ETL pipelines and growing, multi-source datasets.
  • Experience writing requirements, user stories, and managing a product backlog.
  • Familiarity with sports, media, sponsorship, or benchmarking data is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with product management and design tools such as TFS, Figma, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams at once.
