Gradient Sports spun out of Pro Football Focus (PFF) in May of 2024. We’re taking the same dedication to industry-leading player grades, analysis and metrics and applying them to the Beautiful Game - international football, aka soccer. We’re building intuitive, efficient and delightful products for professional clubs, agencies, media, and fans, and we’re just getting started.

We’re building a new kind of soccer fan experience. We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to shape and execute our go-to-market strategy, bring our product vision to life for fans, and help us scale.

The Role
As our first Product Marketing Manager, you’ll own the end-to-end marketing strategy for a new 0→1 app—from pre-launch positioning and partnerships strategy, to ongoing growth and engagement. You’ll work at the intersection of Product, partnerships, and revenue growth, ensuring that we’re building and marketing experiences fans love.

This role is ideal for a mid-career PMM who thrives on launching new consumer products, shaping go-to-market strategy, and operating in fast-moving, highly cross-functional environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Go-to-market leadership: Develop and execute the GTM strategy for a new product launch (and for new features and updates thereafter)
  • Positioning & messaging: In collaboration with Brand, define product positioning, marketing messaging, and in-app narratives that particularly resonate with our target audience.
  • In-product marketing: Partner with Product to craft in-app marketing experiences, onboarding flows, and upsell strategies that drive engagement, growth and retention.
  • Partnerships: Together with Business Development, identify, prioritize, and own relationships with key industry partners to drive our business and product goals.
  • Audience insights: Lead research on fan behaviors, motivations, and unmet needs, translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Acquisition & growth: Work closely with Digital Marketing to identify the most effective channels for reaching our target audience and partner on an effective strategy.
  • Cross-functional leadership: partner closely with Brand, Digital Marketing, Product, Design, Engineering, Data Science and Growth to ensure success and alignment in reaching our goals.


What We’re Looking For
  • 5–8 years of experience in Product Marketing or related roles, ideally at early stage or high-growth consumer tech companies (e.g., mobile apps, marketplaces, or sports/fitness/entertainment platforms).
  • Strong experience leading 0→1 product launches and building GTM playbooks.
  • Proven ability to define positioning, messaging, and narratives that resonate with consumer audiences.
  • Experience with in-product marketing and monetization/upsell strategies.
  • Experience determining pricing and packaging.
  • A track record of working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and building structure in fast-paced environments.
  • Passion for global sports culture—especially soccer—and an understanding of fandom.

Bonus Points
  • Experience marketing consumer apps in sports, media, or gaming.
  • Experience working with creators, influencers, or fan communities.
  • Hands-on experience with user research or insights development.
