Core Engineering & Development
  • Lead the design and development of robust backend and frontend features for our tournament and registration platform.
  • Implement new modules for scheduling, rankings, EventStore e-commerce, branded apps, notifications, user workflows, reporting, and admin tools.
  • Design clean, efficient SQL Server queries, procedures, indexing strategies, and performance optimizations.
  • Maintain and enhance Windows Server/IIS environments, including deployments, security, and uptime.
  • Build and refine REST API integrations with partners, vendors, payment providers, analytics platforms, and mobile apps.

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, CSS and Javascript.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.

Systems Reliability & Architecture
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across mission-critical systems used during high-traffic tournament weekends.
  • Participate in architectural planning, refactoring initiatives, and modernization efforts.
  • Manage logs, diagnostics, monitoring, and root-cause analysis.

Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Work directly with the CEO to define and implement technical initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with customer support teams to troubleshoot escalated issues and implement long-term fixes.
  • Coordinate with third-party teams during integrations and joint development efforts.

Innovation & Quality Assurance
  • Stay ahead of evolving web technologies, frameworks, and best practices within the .NET ecosystem.
  • Conduct thorough testing for stability, accuracy, and performance.
  • Create internal documentation for processes, configurations, and code-level workflows.

Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in full stack web development.
  • Strong expertise in ASP.NET MVC, C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, SQL Server, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS.
  • Experience with Windows Server, IIS, hosting environments, and application deployments.
  • Ability to design scalable backend systems and optimize complex SQL queries.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially under time-sensitive situations (e.g., live tournament weekends).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with sports scheduling systems, registration platforms, or event-based software.
  • Familiarity with payment processing systems (PayPal, Square, Stripe).
  • Experience working with mobile apps, APIs, and push notification services.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted scheduling logic or optimization algorithms.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, document technical processes, and collaborate with non-technical team members.
  • Understanding of security best practices and data protection policies.
