As a Staff Content Designer at PrizePicks, you’ll set the vision and operational standards for product content across our ecosystem, shaping how language drives clarity, trust, and delight for millions of users. You’ll guide the strategy, design, and governance of content to ensure every interaction, from onboarding to gameplay, is consistent, on-brand, and aligned with both customer needs and business objectives.

What you’ll do:

Content Strategy & Vision

  • Define and lead the content strategy for the PrizePicks product experience, ensuring a unified voice, tone, and messaging across all product touchpoints.
  • Align product content with business objectives, compliance requirements, and player needs.
  • Bridge product and marketing to ensure campaigns, landing pages, digital platforms, and in-app experiences deliver a seamless, consistent message.
  • Build scalable systems, including content models, IA frameworks, templates, and voice/tone principles that reinforce clarity, consistency, and brand alignment.

Content Assessment & Optimization

  • Audit existing content to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the PrizePicks design system with clear, actionable documentation of guidelines, style standards, and best practices.
  • Use research and testing to measure content effectiveness, iterating based on data and player feedback.
  • Create and refine copy for product features, user flows, notifications, and in-app messages, ensuring clarity and engagement.
  • Translate complex gaming and compliance concepts into approachable, user-friendly language.
  • Resolve messaging inconsistencies and eliminate user confusion to improve the customer journey and boost engagement.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with product managers, designers, marketers, customer support, and engineers to embed content seamlessly into the product lifecycle.
  • Mentor team members on content best practices and champion content as a driver of growth and retention.
  • Navigate ambiguity in cross-product initiatives, ensuring alignment and clarity across teams and domains.
  • Establish content governance and processes that create a unified brand experience across all touchpoints.

What you have:

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced technology, e-commerce, finance, or gaming company.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your expertise in content strategy, content creation, and problem-solving through content.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and an ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically about content and its impact on user engagement and business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • User-Centered Mindset: A deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a commitment to creating intuitive and delightful user experiences.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
