We're searching for a Lead Quantitative Researcher in Customer Insights, a pivotal role within our expanding team. This position demands a proactive approach, offering vital insights to steer our strategic direction and propel our growth. You'll closely collaborate with our Innovation, Product, and Marketing teams, serving as a key advisor and master of quantitative customer research – dedicated to enhancing our product offerings, understanding our members, and seizing market opportunities.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead advanced, custom quantitative research on a variety of data sets.
  • Identify trends and measure actual and potential impact of various hypotheses to drive innovation and development across our company.
  • Collaborate with data science teams to refine and enhance behavioral models.
  • Source and leverage a variety of data sources (eg. behavioral data, account information, survey data, syndicated data) to ensure holistic analysis.
  • Partner closely with qualitative research counterparts to design studies and report findings.
  • Engage with business leaders to align research with strategic goals, translating business questions to well structured research goals.
  • Deliver actionable insight through dashboards, reports, and presentations and other vehicles.
  • Develop and implement efficient methodologies and automated processes for enhanced insight generation.
  • Oversee third party vendor and contractor relationships as required.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including recurring reports and ad-hoc research requests that align with the Insights portfolio.

What you have:

  • Over 10 years of experience leading consumer insights or market research studies, preferably with exposure to the sports, lifestyle, or cultural sectors.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R for data manipulation and analysis, coupled with comprehensive experience in quantitative research methods (including audience measurement, statistical analysis, and survey methodology).
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills, with strong business acumen and the ability to assess business problems and convert them to outcome based-research questions. 
  • Proven track record in analyzing diverse data sets to deliver comprehensive insights across various domains and in conducting end-to-end research projects from design through to reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a knack for presenting complex ideas clearly. 
  • A strong command of data visualization tools like Tableau, Displayr, Excel etc.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of research and analysis tools, including market surveying platforms, enterprise data warehouses, social listening platforms, and other data mining tools. 
  • Basic understanding of qualitative research methods and outputs, like personas, JTBD studies, interviews and ethnographies. 
  • Ability to develop predictive models using machine learning frameworks is a distinct advantage.
  • Advanced degree in Market Research, Data Science, Statistics, or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.

Where you’ll live:

  • Anywhere in the US is fine but Atlanta would be preferred.
