Overtime is looking for an experienced, highly organized Production Manager to help bring our live sports, long-form, digital, and social content to life. This role will work across multiple projects and leagues, partnering with teams throughout the company to turn creative ideas into well-executed productions.
As a Production Manager at Overtime, you will oversee budgets, schedules, logistics, crews, vendors, and other production needs from early planning through final closeout. The ideal candidate is collaborative, resourceful, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to solve problems quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
What You’ll Do
- Create, manage, and reconcile production budgets for Overtime’s branded content, leagues, and other company projects.
- Manage all phases of production, including pre-production, on-site execution, and post-production.
- Partner closely with Content, Social, Production, Finance, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure each project’s creative, operational, and financial needs are met.
- Develop production schedules, timelines, and logistical plans that keep projects organized, on budget, and on schedule.
- Coordinate production logistics, including travel, hotels, ground transportation, equipment, locations, and other operational needs.
- Source, hire, and manage freelance crews, production vendors, and equipment providers.
- Secure and track permits, location agreements, certificates of insurance, releases, and other required production documentation.
- Review invoices, track production expenses, and support the timely financial closeout of each project.
- Identify potential production challenges and develop practical solutions in fast-moving situations.
- Travel as required to support productions.
Who You Are
- You have at least four years of production management experience or equivalent experience in television, digital content, live sports, or live events.
- You have experience managing production budgets, schedules, crews, vendors, and logistics.
- You are highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- You have experience managing and developing team members, balancing career growth with the appropriate level of project oversight.
- You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- You exercise sound judgment and remain calm when solving problems in fast-paced, time-sensitive situations.
- You are comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
- You are adaptable and comfortable shifting between projects and responsibilities as business needs change.
- You are willing and able to travel and work nights, weekends, and holidays when production schedules require it.
- On-set production experience is preferred. Experience with live sports production is a plus.
- This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days per week in Overtime’s Brooklyn office.
Overtime expects the base salary for this position to be $86-$95K, depending on experience. Additionally, Overtime offers health benefits, paid time off, 401(k), and stock options.
