Riddell is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the InSite Analytics team. The Senior Analytics Engineer is responsible for transforming raw data into views and models ready for reporting and analysis by football coaches at all levels of the sport. This role will enhance and maintain the design of the data warehouse, ensure data quality, and create meaningful insights that will enable coaches to analyze player safety and performance.
Job Duties:
- Monitor and maintain the data pipeline via various system health dashboards
- Create business logic to transform impact data into views and models ready for reporting and analysis
- Integrate data from third party APIs into the data warehouse
- Enhance and maintain data warehouse design to ensure efficient storage and use of data models
- Develop and maintain data pipeline Lambda functions (Python)
- Lead the investigation and implementation of a data orchestration tool
- Participate in the investigation and implementation of cloud data warehouse solutions that could fit the product’s current and future needs
- Participate in the investigation and implementation of real-time analysis and reporting
- Document business logic used for data transformations and metrics
- Ensure data quality through frequent testing
- Parse and analyze system logs to optimize pipelines and improve system reliability
- Coordinate with all members of the InSite Analytics team to understand customer workflows and product usage to ensure best-in-class service
- Partner with Data Analysts to create new and innovative ways to present impact data to clients
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or related role
- Strong business knowledge with the ability to work effectively on a cross functional team
- Strong technical skills with data technologies including SQL, Fivetran, dbt, etc.
- Experience with modern programming languages, including Python, Javascript, and Typescript
- Experience using git/version control
- Experience with various data modelling techniques and cloud data warehouses
- Experience working with unstructured data
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with one or more data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau, etc.)
- Prior experience with agile methodologies and working on a scrum team
- Knowledge and interest in the sport of football
