SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Production Supervisor provides work direction to workers and supervises team leaders performing production activities in a manufacturing environment. With the Plant Manager, coordinates all activities required to ensure production goals are met.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

  • Supervises production team leaders and coordinates the scheduling of people, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensures compliance to company and safety policies and procedures.
  • Works with various departments to assure proper inventory levels are produced and maintained.
  • Provides input to performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment ensuring that safety and housekeeping standards are met in the factory.
  • Maintains product quality standards, ensuring a high level of work performance by team members.
  • Provides training as necessary.
  • Enforces policies and work rules in a fair and consistent manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Degree or equivalent required.
  • College Education in related field desirable.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years production-related experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.

  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Sufficient hand, eye, arm, and finger dexterity.
  • Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking, while also performing repetitive tasks.
  • Prolonged periods of bending and/or twisting throughout a work shift.
