SUMMARY OF POSITION

Riddell is seeking a passionate individual to join the Marketing & Communications (MarCom) team as our Marketing Coordinator. This small, but mighty in-house team services cross-functional stakeholders across the business, well as providing support to external clients. You will be a vital part of the team, working on different types of projects from conception through final execution. Day-to-day activities will include event planning, project management, and partnership support. The successful candidate needs to be high-energy, self-motivated, and service-oriented with a passion for football.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

  • Contribute to and/or lead operational and logistical planning for various events, tradeshows, football camps/clinics, and photo/video shoots, through on-site execution
  • Manage event elements such as shipping, equipment ordering, asset movement, inventory, organization of storage room, travel needs, and event teardown/setup
  • Assist with management of event partners including tradeshow and travel agencies
  • Support general MarCom activities, such as administrative coordination for meetings, maintenance of financial reconciliation, and coordination of event asset inventory
  • Gain a keen understanding of our partner’s goals and objectives to develop compelling, creative, and measurable marketing and activation programs that maximize value for the partner and Riddell
  • Assist with in-person and digital activations with Riddell partners, such as USA Football, NFL Football Development and Clubs, and the WNFC, working with MarCom teammates to execute
  • Coordinate projects through management process, including but not limited to request intake, content and messaging development, work with graphic designers through creative process, workload and workflow management, traffic assets through internal and external reviews and approvals, and digital organization of assets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver imaginative projects and events that meet the team’s needs, goals, and objectives, and serve as a point of contact for those teams for marketing requests
  • Participate in the development and execution of campaigns to meet business objectives
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the company, its products and client base to implement effective marketing activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management or other related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience; prior experience at a sports and/or fitness business a plus
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs. on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment
  • Capable of supporting multiple events at various stages of planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Previous experience with project management and collaboration tools, such as Wrike, is a bonus
  • Possesses quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of how to operate discreetly with proprietary company information and materials

  • Willingness to travel throughout the year for events and meetings, including some nights and weekends (approx. 30%, with heavy Summer travel)

  • A background in, and passion for, football or sports
