The Associate E-Commerce Site Merchandiser owns the day-to-day execution, merchandising strategy, and performance of products across Riddell.com and Team Stores. This role is responsible for ensuring product catalogs are accurate, optimized, and positioned to drive revenue, conversion, and customer engagement.

This position drives digital merchandising initiatives focused on product presentation, site performance, promotional execution, and revenue growth. The Associate Site Merchandiser maintains product descriptions, specifications, digital assets, and categorization while ensuring a seamless and conversion-focused customer experience.

Working cross-functionally with Digital Commerce, Product, Marketing, Inventory, and Creative teams, this role takes ownership of site readiness, merchandising performance, and optimization opportunities—especially during key seasonal launches and high-traffic periods.

This individual is expected to proactively identify gaps, recommend improvements, and support strategies that increase conversion rate, AUSP, Revenue $, and overall ecommerce performance.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Setup, Ownership & Content Accuracy

  • Own product setup across Riddell.com and Team Stores including descriptions, specifications, pricing, attributes, imagery, and categorization.
  • Maintain complete accuracy of product data to ensure strong customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Drive PDP optimization through improved storytelling, technical details, comparison tools, size charts, and product education.
  • Ensure all product assets meet brand standards and support conversion-focused merchandising.

 

Merchandising Strategy & Site Experience

  • Own merchandising execution across homepage, category pages, landing pages, and Team Store assortments.
  • Drive product sequencing, boost rules, sort logic, and site navigation strategies that improve product discovery and conversion.
  • Maintain taxonomy, filters, and navigation structure to support a clean and intuitive customer journey.
  • Identify and implement cross-sell and upsell opportunities across key categories to increase basket size and revenue.
  • Ensure Team Store assortments are visually aligned, strategically merchandised, and built for scalable growth.

 

Revenue Ownership & KPI Performance

  • Own revenue growth by driving improvements in conversion rate, AOV, units per transaction, and revenue per visitor.
  • Monitor and analyze key ecommerce KPIs including revenue, traffic, conversion, sell-through, CTR, and merchandising performance.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and underperforming areas; recommend and execute actions to improve results.
  • Partner with leadership to support seasonal planning, revenue forecasting, and performance against budget.
  • Test and implement revenue-driving strategies including bundles, urgency tactics, promotional placements, and personalization opportunities.

 

Promotional Execution & Product Launches

  • Own execution of promotions, discount codes, bundles, campaign landing pages, and seasonal merchandising updates.
  • Partner with Marketing and Creative to ensure hero banners, campaign assets, and launch content are accurate and live on time.
  • Lead product launch readiness checks across pricing, copy, inventory, imagery, and merchandising placement.
  • Execute pre-launch and post-launch QA to eliminate errors, broken links, and missed opportunities.

 

Reporting, Analysis & Optimization

  • Pull and analyze weekly business performance reporting including top sellers, site trends, search behavior, and merchandising results.
  • Monitor out-of-stocks, backorders, and inventory risks while partnering with planning teams on resolution.
  • Track internal search performance and zero-result terms to improve discoverability and customer experience.
  • Deliver clear insights on what is driving performance and where immediate action is needed.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner across:
    • Digital Commerce for site enhancements and optimization
    • Product for launch planning and product accuracy
    • Creative for content execution and imagery needs
    • Inventory for stock visibility and planning
    • Customer Service for recurring customer friction points and product feedback
  • Help drive accountability across teams to ensure deadlines, launches, and merchandising priorities are executed successfully.
  • Maintain merchandising calendars, launch timelines, and key business milestones.

 

Process Improvement & Site QA

  • Own weekly QA reviews for broken imagery, pricing issues, missing content, outdated promotions, and overall site health.
  • Maintain merchandising standards, SOPs, and documentation for product setup and site operations.
  • Support A/B testing initiatives by implementing test variants, monitoring results, and documenting opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce friction, and create stronger merchandising processes across the business.
