Social Media and Content Coordinator 

ABOUT THE CLUB 
Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities with over 5000 community owners across all 50 states and 19 countries. The team plays in the pre-professional USL W League, starring and featuring the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and across the globe. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

The Social Media and Content Coordinator is a part-time, in-person role reporting to the Director of Marketing. Time commitment will range from approximately 10 hours per week during the offseason to up to 20 hours per week during the season. The office is located in Eagan, MN, and training and home games are at TCO Stadium.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Execute a social and multimedia content plan across Aurora platforms, in coordination with the Director of Marketing
  • Schedule, publish, and manage day-to-day content on all Aurora social media channels
  • Create written content for social media and email newsletters, with templates and guidance provided
  • Monitor and respond to social media messages, mentions, tags, and comments during assigned hours
  • Track player news, milestones, and storylines to support timely content creation
  • Provide live or near–real time social media coverage for all home matches and designated away matches
  • Be present for all Aurora home matches and available to work remotely for away matches
  • Post during Aurora events, activations, and key moments as scheduled
  • Support content capture during the season, including occasional travel with the team as needed
  • Coordinate content needs for marketing and media moments such as photo or video shoots
  • Support sponsor deliverables on social media, in coordination with the internal sponsorship lead
  • Track basic social media metrics, including impressions and engagement tied to sponsor fulfillment
  • Coordinate with league contacts and peer team social media staff for announcements and shared content
  • Prepare a concise monthly summary of social performance and audience engagement

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1–3 years of experience managing social media or digital content for a brand, team, or organization
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different platforms and audiences
  • Working knowledge of major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky, X, and TikTok
  • Experience scheduling and publishing content using social media management tools
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics and performance metrics
  • Comfort working evenings and weekends, including all home matches and select away matches
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders
  • Familiarity with women’s soccer, Aurora, or values-driven sports organizations preferred

COMPENSATION 
Compensation for this role is $18-20 per hour, depending on experience.
