ABOUT THE CLUB
Minnesota Aurora FC is a community owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities with more
than 3000 community owners across 48 states and 8 countries. It will be playing in the
pre-professional USL W League starting May 26, 2022, featuring the best amateur and aspiring pro
players from Minnesota and across the globe. The club is operated by its 9 founding owners, an all
female coaching staff, and a few staff members.
The Merch Team Member for Minnesota Aurora FC is a part time seasonal position to help with
merchandise sales on home game days. Candidates must be customer service oriented, a quick
Shopify Point of Sale (POS) learner, and be available for various home games and/or State Fair
dates.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Greets and acknowledges guests
● Answers guests’ questions and assists them whenever possible
● Recommends, selects, and helps locate or obtain merchandise for guests
● Processes credit card sale with Square reader and Shopify POS
● Ensures that all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed
● Maintains a clean and organized merch tent
● Sets aside and notifies supervisor of defective, mis-marked, mislabeled, incorrectly priced, or
damaged merchandise
● Watches for and recognizes security risks and thefts and reports to security and management
● Assist with setup, tear down, and inventory of merchandise as directed by supervisor
● Performs other duties as assigned, such as counting inventory or loading and unloading
merchandise
○ For game days for Aurora 1 and Aurora 2, 5-6 hours per game. Regular season goes
from late May through early July, and postseason throughout July.
○ For the State Fair, multiples of 3 hour shifts between August 21st and September 3rd
2024.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience in customer service
● Experience in Point of Sale (POS) systems
● Excellent customer service skills
● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
● Ability to stand for long periods of time
● Ability to lift/move/carry items weighing up to 20 lbs.
COMPENSATION
This is a part-time, seasonal employment position for $18/hour, 5-6 hours per home game.
This position works at TCO Stadium on Minnesota Aurora home game days, and Concordia
University for Aurora 2 games. State Fair dates would be on State Fair Grounds.
