ABOUT THE CLUB
Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned women’s soccer team based in the Twin Cities with over 5000 community owners across all 50 states and 19 countries. The club plays in the pre-professional USL W League, starring and featuring the best amateur and aspiring professional players from Minnesota and across the globe. The club is operated by a women-led front office and coaching staff.

The Goalkeeper Coach position is part time, seasonal, and starts April 18th, 2026 with an in-person report date of May 1st, 2026. The Goalkeeper Coach reports to the Head Coach. The office is located in Eagan, MN. Aurora training and home games are at TCO Stadium. Trainings are generally in the morning.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruiting: Assist with tryout(s); Assist with identifying, contacting, and recruiting appropriate goalkeepers
- Training: Plan and execute Goalkeeper Training; Work with Head Coach to effectively integrate GK training with overall team training; Maintaining the equipment in orderly condition and assuming responsibility for its security
- Games: Assist with game day preparations, such as setting up equipment, warm-up, ect; Assist with determining goalkeeper-related tactics for each game; Assist with in-game goalkeeper analysis
- Video Analysis: Analyze Aurora film and scout opponents; Assist with developing Scouting Reports
- Player Development: Help high-level goalkeepers advance their technique and tactics; Provide feedback and constructive criticism; Analyze and clip goalkeeper film and use film as a teaching tool to develop players; Help goalkeepers develop a highlight tape
- Squad Selection: Assist with selecting GK squad members for each fixture; Assess players’ skills; Monitor players during competition and practice; Keep the Head Coach informed of player performance
- Administrative: Assist with various administrative duties, such as planning travel to away games, gear organization, ect.

- Games: Assist with game day preparations, such as setting up equipment, warm-up, ect; Assist with determining goalkeeper-related tactics for each game; Assist with in-game goalkeeper analysis
- Video Analysis: Analyze Aurora film and scout opponents; Assist with developing Scouting Reports
- Player Development: Help high-level goalkeepers advance their technique and tactical understanding and execution; Provide all goalkeepers with an individual development plan and the individualized attention to actualize that development throughout the season; Analyze and clip goalkeeper film and use film as a teaching tool to develop goalkeepers; Help goalkeepers create a highlight tape
- Squad Selection: Assist with selecting GK squad members for each fixture; Monitor players during competition and practice; Keep the Head Coach informed of player performance
- Administrative: Assist with various administrative duties, such as planning travel to away games, meal ordering, gear organization, league forms, etc.
- Off-Season: Attend pre-season video call meetings; Assist with pre- and post-season preparation or wrap up tasks as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Complete Safe Sport Certification and pass a background check
- Minimum of 2 years coaching experience in high performance soccer (i.e. collegiate, pre-professional, semi-professional, professional, etc)
- GK Coach Licensure (USSF, USC, UEFA, ect.)
- Ability to complete a Safe Sport Certification and pass a background check
- Minimum of 2 years coaching experience in high performance soccer (i.e. collegiate, pre-professional, semi-professional, professional, etc)
- GK Coach Licensure (USSF, USC, UEFA, etc.)
- Ability to co-create a healthy team culture (cultivating intrinsic motivation, interpersonal respect, high commitment, collaborating with a diverse group of people, ect.)
- Must commit to Minnesota Aurora being your priority during the season of play, May-July. Must attend all training, matches, meetings, etc. Must be available to work and travel during weekends, early mornings, nights, and holidays based on game and training schedule.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Coaching-focused academic degree
- Advanced GK Coach Licensure (USSF, USC, UEFA, ect.)
- Minimum of 4 years coaching experience in high performance soccer (collegiate, pre-professional, semi-professional, professional, etc.)
COMPENSATION
The Goalkeeper Coach (USL W League) position is part-time and seasonal. The in-season period runs from April 18, 2026 through July 18, 2026.
The selected candidate must be available to perform coaching duties in person in Eagan, Minnesota no later than May 1, 2026. Work performed between April 18 and May 1 may be completed remotely, provided all responsibilities are met.
Compensation Structure
- In-Season (April 18 – July 18, 2026): A total in-season compensation of $8,000–$12,000 depending on experience, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
- Out-of-Season: $35 per hour for pre-approved work performed outside of the in-season dates.
