Job Title: HR Generalist

Position Summary:
The HR Generalist supports all human resources functions across Rhode Island FC and Centreville Bank Stadium, serving as the key connection between executives, front-office staff, technical staff, team personnel, and Insperity. This fractional contractor role oversees recruiting, employee relations, and compliance, working closely with the PEO (Insperity) to ensure accuracy and consistency across both team and stadium operations.
This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three in-office days per week (or approximately 20 hours on-site), with flexibility for remote work on non-event days. On-site presence is required during essential operational meetings.
In a fast-paced, event-driven environment, the HR Generalist helps maintain a positive, professional, and collaborative culture that reflects the organization’s values both on and off the field.

Employee Lifecycle Management: Coordinate all aspects of hiring, onboarding, and offboarding for front office, technical staff, and team personnel. Maintain accurate employee records through the PEO (Insperity) platform and ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws.
Recruiting & Staffing: Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs for both year-round and seasonal positions. Manage job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, background checks, and offer documentation.
Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee questions, feedback, and workplace concerns. Provide guidance to managers on policies, procedures, and conflict resolution.
Policy Management: Update and distribute the employee handbook and ensure proper documentation of personnel actions.
Training & Development: Assist in coordinating staff training sessions, certifications, and onboarding for compliance, safety, and professional development purposes.
Engagement & Culture: Support team-building initiatives, staff recognition, and engagement efforts to strengthen the organization’s culture across both the team and stadium environments.
Reporting & Metrics: Prepare regular HR reports on headcount, turnover, and labor costs for ownership and senior management. Always maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with HRIS systems and PEO platforms (Insperity experience strongly preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel and reporting capabilities.
Knowledge Base: Solid understanding of employment law, wage and hour compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations best practices.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with ownership, technical staff, and employees at all levels.
Interpersonal Skills: Approachable, collaborative, and diplomatic, with the ability to handle confidential information and sensitive employee matters with discretion.
Organizational Strength: Highly detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
