Job Summary:
Rhode Island FC is a professional soccer team competing in the USL Championship and based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Starting in Spring 2025, Rhode Island FC is hosting home matches at the newly constructed, state-of-the-art, 10,500-seat venue, Centreville Bank Stadium.

We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our Matchday Operations Staff for the 2025 USL Championship season. This part-time, seasonal role is an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in sports management and event operations to gain hands-on experience in a professional sports environment.

As a member of the Matchday Operations Staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional experience for fans, teams, and staff on matchdays. Ideal candidates are proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn various roles and responsibilities. In addition to working home matches, there may be opportunities to assist with other events at Centreville Bank Stadium the season.
 
Openings Include:
Match Officials Liaison
Manage set-up and breakdown of locker room for match officials, serving as point of contact for referees and relaying relevant requests to Stadium Operations Department. 
Red Hat
 Serve as a liaison between fourth official and broadcast/in-stadium PA to relay information relevant to the game (goals, substitutions, cautions, ejections, injuries, added time, etc.)
 Responsibilities:
Matchday Operations Staff may have the opportunity to fill different roles throughout the season, providing them with exposure to multiple aspects of event operations.

Key responsibilities include:
Event Setup and Breakdown:
Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment and signage for matches.
Ensure sponsor activations, fan zones, and other matchday elements are properly installed and operational.
Stadium Operations:
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned areas.
Collaborate with security and facilities teams to ensure a safe environment for all attendees.
Play a role in field watering operation.

Other Duties:
Support special events, promotions, and activations during matches.
Adapt to other operational needs as assigned by the Event Operations team.

Qualifications
Passion for sports and an interest in event management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
 Must be able to work at least 80% of remaining home games for Rhode Island FC throughout the 2025 season (4 out of 5 remaining games).
 Saturday, August 30 – 7:00PM
Saturday, September 6 – 7:00PM
Saturday, September 13 – 7:00PM
Sunday, October 5 – 5:00PM
Saturday, October 11 – 7:00PM

Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods and performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
Punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in customer service, sports operations, or event management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of soccer and the USL Championship is advantageous but not required.

This is a seasonal, part-time position from March to November, primarily on event days.
